After their first win of the league season over Southampton Uni last week the pumas were looking to get another win against Petersfield.
The lineup had a mixture of youth & experience. The game started right from the off with a strong Portsmouth attack with passes left right and center . With a ball from Sammy to Pete and then Adam who beat two defenders to slap the ball at goal for it to go in off a defenders stick. A couple minutes later with more lovely triangles from the center mids to the forwards which ended in Morrow slipping the ball into the back left of the goal completely sending the keeper the wrong way. It was 5 minutes later to which Adam had the ball and decided to take Pete W's lead & play a bit of football and then decided to drag the ball off the pitch after thinking he had won a foul (Somehow!!??). From that Petersfield side hit the ball was won back by Nathan M, it was slipped back into the D and then to Pete who played a lovely ball back to Morrow to play it back into the net. 3-0 Portsmouth.

Half time came and some inspirational words from Sammy.

The half started off with Chris S who was owning the right mid played some lovely passes which made the Petersfield players stand as if nothing happened as he ghosted past. Petersfield decided to have a crack at the Portsmouth D which saw them denied by Ellis’s attempt at a superman dive, this worked and denied them a goal. A quick one two from Rob to Chris saw a chance at goal for Portsmouth which was missed by Adam. The ball ended up and down the pitch for 2 minutes. Jabba the smasher sent a beauty of a ball from the D to the goal keeper who decided to take a leaf out of Pete W & Adams play to play football with himself not knowing it was being hunted by Adam who played a layoff to Liam who calmly slotted it into the goal, the keeper then decided to throw his toys out of the pram. Last 5 minutes more beautiful plays by Josh and the midfield saw Morrow slot in of the post from 50mm, game secured 5-0!

Special mentions to Nathan who got himself a green for using his elbows after he lost the ball and Chris who got himself a yellow for the old not 5 from a free hit & then trying to stop the ball.
