Mens Pumas got back to winning ways Saturday against bottom of the table Basingstoke 7's.
We again started on the front foot from the off & created lots of pressure inside the B'stoke D (which got a bit packed with defenders) and with better pass selection we could of had a hat full, however midway through the half the 1st goal came from good work on the left and a pass to the right far post that Louie gleefully slotted home to make it 1-0.
Despite further pressure & with Alberto the magician doing his stuff ably assisted by Daniel S chances went begging until a short corner (plan B) enabled Ash to smack a shot bottom right to make it 2-0. There was a bit of a mix up in our defense which enabled B'stoke to slot the ball into an empty net to make it 2-1, there it stayed until half time.
B'stoke themselves had a couple of tricky youngsters who were causing us a few problems but our ever improving defensive youngsters led by Ned & assisted by Harry, Daniel W & Josh mostly snuffed the danger out. We were still creating chances & further goals by Pete, Liam & Alberto made the score a better refection on the difference between the sides, B'stoke pulled one back on a break away which Andy in goal couldn't save (this time) to make the final score 5-2 to the Pumas.
A proper squad game with everyone playing their part as the 5 different scorers suggest.
MoM - Alberto for his silky skills
DoD - Ash (obviously) for being Ash
