The club is pleased to announce that Director of Coaching, Alf Wimshurst, has agreed to take on the coaching of this year’s Men's South of England O35s and he will be ably assisted by ex Portsmouth member, Colin Ball, as manager.

The tournament is being held over the weekend of May 16th and 17th and it is hoped to broaden the base of the squad. Anyone interested in being considered needs to turn 35 at some time before the end of December this year - if they turn 40 before the end of the year then they are too old!

South Regional teams are also a great way to play a high level of hockey and meet up with other players from across the country. Many players from the South also represent their country and renew old friendships and on-pitch rivalries in Home Internationals, European and World Championships played all over the World.

In recent years the South have been very successful at Regional Masters Tournaments, with many players going on to represent England. But we feel that many potential players are unaware of the possibilities of representing the South or how the squads are selected.
