Portsmouth were on to a good start with Captain Joni Duffus actually remembering the shirts and balls this week.

With their own shirts on, Portsmouth made a strong start, winning the ball and maintaining plenty of possession.

After a quick break Portsmouth won a short corner, Emily Crowcroft slipped left to Clair Hamson who slotted it into the goal!

Portsmouth worked the ball around well in the first half, using the space and having great some great passing triangles and runs! Our skill was rewarded by a great break away goal from Laura Farrell.

Portsmouth opened the second half with further strong play and they again found the back of the net with Amy Rook sweeping home a fantastic pass across the D from Katie Allard.

The final 20 minutes Portsmouth made hard for themselves but they managed to hang on to the lead and after some questionable final passes across the D, the final whistle blew leaving Portsmouth with their first win of the season.
