Portsmouth had started with some decent opportunities in their half, but nothing came of it until Oakley Farmer’s skills opened up the scoreboard. Portsmouth continued to control most of the play, with the opposition breaking through occasionally but never really managed to get further than the D.

Despite earning plenty of short corners, none came to anything and the first half ended slowly.

Leaving it 1-0 at halftime -- Not our best spell of hockey.

At halftime Coach Lee stepped in to help on the sideline, and we came out with just a little more energy. Sr Mooro was the next to score. Despite his injury, he came to a one on one with the keeper and slipped it past the left of him into the bottom corner. After many appeals to whether it hit the post or actually went in, Callum Stoyles decided to add another to the score sheet.

Alex Williams then stepped up twice -- First converting a stroke after one of Salisbury's defenders decided to kick the ball away instead of using his stick, and later with a well worked drag flick routine, sending it past everyone, into the right side of the net, closing the scoring at a 5-0 win for Portsmouth.

Both teams had more chances in the second half, but we were the only side to make them count, while the opposition seemed fairly content just to be there.

MOM: Nathan - Solid performance all round, some great plays up the line.

DOD: Lucas - For turning up too late, and not being able to take a touch before playing the ball.
