On Sunday it was Portsmouth Hockey Clubs turn to host teams from the local area for a junior festival of hockey. Portsmouth U8 were 1 of the 9 teams in that age group. The U10s had 15 teams taking part with 3 Portsmouth teams involved. Each team played 6 matches in the 10 minute cycles. The youngsters thoroughly enjoyed the competitive nature of the day alongside the refreshments and support from PJ the club mascot. Massive thanks to the U14 & U16 players who umpired and all the helpers who made the day so fun & successful.

Under 10 games start at 11.15am
Please meet at 10.45 so we can sort out teams / shirts etc.
Games will be played over 3 pitches
Games will be 9 minutes long 2 minutes turn around.
Last round of games finish at 2pm.
Match fees are £3.
Bring Gum Shields and Shin Pads.

Location of the Festival will be University of Portsmouth, Furze Lane, Portsmouth, PO4 8LW

Other key points of note include :
• The University Campus is a Non Smoking Zone, so please no smoking whilst on site.
• No Pets are allowed within the Sports pitch areas
• Parking is available on the Campus site and is Pay and Display. Roadside Parking is also available leading up to the site.
• Changing Rooms and Toilets will be open, however they are not pitch-side and are located by the Car Park. They contain both Male and Female Changing rooms. Please ensure your child/players are supervised when using these facilities.
