Womens 2nd team outplay Wimborne in PHC's first competitive match

The Womens 2nd team started the season and Portsmouth Hockey clubs first competitive game with a strong performance. The match started well with PHC dominating the play and they were soon rewarded with their first goal of the game through Kez Winter. Nicola Puckett then followed up on this for PHC's second. Wimborne managed to return the favour, capitalising from a quick break and scoring to end the first half 2-1.

Portsmouth came back strongly in the second half, spreading the play across the pitch and allowing Nicola Puckett to play through the pitch scoring her second to bring the final score to 3-1. Player of the Match was shared between Hayley Armstrong and Nicola Puckett.
