Mens 3's suffer narrow defeat to Fareham

The Mens 3rd team travelled to Fareham in their first pre-season friendly.

The game started well with both teams exchanging solid patterns of play and both unable to break the deadlock despite some impressive shooting from Jacob Shucksmith and a one on one opportunity for Tom Hughes that he was unable to capitalise upon. The sides entered the break goalless.

HT: PHC 0 - 0 Fareham

The second half began much like the first but gave the team time to develop their cohesion and bond. Fareham however would be first to net as a shot going wide of the goal was unfortunately deflected in and past the Portsmouth keeper from the foot of defender Adam Harley. Fareham would build on this lead as the second half progressed going on to score once more before the final whistle.
