PHC 1 - 6 Basingstoke

The Women's 4th team went to Basingstoke with 14 players and lacking a goal keeper. They stunned Basingstoke in the first half, with plenty of running and passing through the midfield with Jess Attrill managing to beat the Basingstoke keeper. Basingstoke had a couple of chances but Portsmouth managed to cover themselves brilliantly and the first half ended 1-0.

Unfortunately tiredness and the lack of a goal keeper took its toll on the Portsmouth side and Basingstoke, not wishing to lose to a side with no goal keeper came out fighting leading to 6 goals for them in the second half. Portsmouth had a couple more chances with a few short corners in quick succession but to no avail. Player of the match was awarded to Isabel Slack for her fabulous defending and running up with the ball.
