The walking hockey section of the club received £194 from Waitrose community matters scheme

The Walking Hockey section of the Club has received further sponsorship, this time from Waitrose Southsea, who presented a cheque to the Club for £194 - the result of their charity collection for the month of January.

The section continues to grow with over 50 people now signed up to the WhatsApp group. They are now meeting every Tuesday evening at Admiral Lord Nelson School from 8.30pm. Matches are 4 or 5 a side on a small pitch and last about 15 minutes - it is aimed at everybody from complete beginners to 1st XI and we even have youngsters turning up, especially in half term week. Sticks and bibs are provided - just wear sensible footwear and, judging by recent weather conditions, some waterproofs!
