New club shirt unveiled

The club are pleased to announce a new partnership with Game, Set and Match who will be supplying our shirts.

We have gone for an Adidas offering after advice from all tenderers concerning durability and lasting quality. This does mean that initial cost is higher than other options, but will also mean that club members should have no need to regularly re-purchase due to fading, stretching or tears.

The shirts are dominated with the club colour of purple, and design also includes maroon side panels, and pink trim, to honour the past clubs, from which Portsmouth Hockey Club was formed.

The club has secured funding that will cover the purchase of 65 shirts (5 sets) with sponsors. These shirts will be allocated to the Men's and Women's 1st and 2nd teams, as well as the Men's Veterans teams. These sets will be owned by the club and not individual players.

The club will additionally be purchasing sets for the remaining adult teams, which will also be club owned, but without any sponsorship on them.

Shorts / Skorts are to be black, as are the socks. Club socks will be offered with slight purple trim. Details of these will follow in due course.

In addition to the club owned shirts, club members can purchase their own shirt should they wish. These shirts will be available for any number above 20, (if available), and will cost £40.

It is worth noting that anyone playing for the Men's and Women's 1st and 2nd teams, and the Men's veterans teams this season, will be expected to wear a club owned shirt when representing these teams due to the sponsorship deals that have made the purchase of these shirts possible.

Anyone wishing to order their own shirt should do the following:
Men

3. Await confirmation that number is available
4. Once confirmed, transfer £40 via bank transfer to the following account:

2. Send her your preferred size (S,M,L,XL etc) and number (21+)
3. Await confirmation that number is available

The deadline for the first batch of orders is July 10th 2019.

We would like to repeat that buying your own shirt is currently optional, and club owned shirts will be available to borrow on a match by match basis for any players that choose not to purchase their own shirt.

We are also pleased to announce that as part of this deal, we will be getting, as standard, a club discount on all purchases from Game Set & Match going forward, but more importantly, they are within driving distance so it is easy to try things on for sizing, so no more sizing surprises from mail order!

We will announce the full range of other kit offerings available (training tops, tracksuits, hoodies, body warmers, rain jackets, woolly hats etc) in due course.

Away shirts when required this season, will be the old City of Portsmouth (Pink) and the old Portsmouth & Southsea (White) home shirts. Details of the Portsmouth HC away kit beyond this season will be announced in due course.
