M Pumas v Chichester 5

The re-arranged game started in a very open fashion & the Pumas should of been one down within the first minute, Chichester played on having an advantage whilst some of our defense stopped & waited for the whistle, thankfully for everyone they missed an open goal. That shook us up and from the resulting 16 we were up & in the opposing D all after a couple of swift speedy passes for Louie to smash the ball into the goal after Pete W found him to make it 1-0 after only two minutes. The game ebbed & flowed with Chichester having quite a lot of possession but thankfully with our back three of Joe, Jamie & Dan W holding them at bay along with Ed in goal (Deputising for a sick Ellis in goal) all trying to keep hold of a clean sheet. Pumas started to make more of an inroad from the midfield area with Liam & Dan S finding holes to unlock the opposition. With twenty minutes gone the ever improving Dan Sinnott scored from a meter out to make it 2-0.
The game ebbed & flowed both ways in the second half with both keepers making good saves, although Ed did deflect the ball (it was shifting) straight onto Ned's knee which meant that he had to go off, but with him & all the youngsters playing their part with the oldies the score remained the same, (Although Pete W could of set up two goals IF he had chosen to pass the ball rather than shoot)
An enjoyable open game had by both sides means that the 2-0 win puts Pumas top for Christmas!!
