Pumas v Gosport 2

Saturday saw the Pumas start the game with purpose and despite going down a goal when a cross came back of a post for Gosport to score there was confidence within the team that we would soon get back in to it. This proved itself true when 5mins later Tim Schofield scored via a scuffed shot, to make it 1-1. We were playing good patterns down both the right & left channels & opening the opposition up with ease, the pressure on Gosport told with Tim getting another & then another to get his hat-trick & make it 3-1. Eventually Alberto the magician was set up by Pete W to get on to the score sheet too & make it 4-1 at half time.
The 2nd half was a bit more open with the Pumas making hard work to get back to their flowing hockey, despite quite a few chances (Pete W) neither side managed to increase their score, however with Casper Baker-Newman making his mens debut, Daniel Whitcher making his league debut we again can only improve as the season goes on.
Full Time 4-1 win
